About this app

Please Note

You need additional hardware to use this app.

Description

Dive into the world of aviation with your very own ADSB Receiver. Experience real-time air traffic data right at your fingertips, transforming your device into a powerful radar!

Receive live ADSB data (978 MHz UAT and 1090 MHz ES). All you need is a supported USB dongle and an OTG adapter/cable, both available from various sources on the internet. No subscription required!

Follow this link for more details: https://hiz.ch/fwd/adsb-receiver

You're a Drone Pilot and concerned about nearby traffic? Enable traffic monitoring based on range to be alerted of any approaching aircraft.

Enhance your situational awareness with live traffic, weather and flight information displayed directly in 3rd party apps supporting the GDL90 protocol (e.g. AvareX, iFlyGPS, FltPlanGo and DroidEFB).

Harness the capabilities of your Software Defined Radio device (RTL-SDR) to capture live Automatic Dependent Surveillance Broadcast (ADSB) data. With ADSB Receiver, you'll have access to:

-Aircraft Positions: Track the movements of nearby aircraft, including altitude, speed and heading.
-Weather Data: Stay informed with official NEXRAD weather images (using a GDL90 capable app), plus aviation reports like METAR, PIREP, WINDS and more.

This test version comes with a data limit, requiring to restart the app once a certain amount of data has been received. Please consider buying the "Pro" version to support the development. Thanks!! (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=bs.Avare.ADSB.Pro)

no bias tee, useless with my setup edit: Some adsb antennas, the active type, require power via the antenna port from the receiver/sdr known as bias tee. It is a software option that can be turned on with a simple flag in the driver at least for rtl-sdr.

Bias Tee support is now available in the options! In future, please request new features via https://hiz.ch/fwd/contact so we can confirm changes to you directly. You will not see any updates we provide here, unless you check your review manually... so ratings rarely get updated.

Only worked on 1090 with an NESDR nano 2+, but works on both frequencies (one at a time) with a NESDR nano 3. Using a ONEPLUS 7T (USB 3.1 port) and an iTeknik USB-C hub from Amazon. Got a response from the developer when I wanted to troubleshoot the 2+, so happy about that. Might go pro here after some more testing. Does not seem to work with fltplan go on the NB same device, however.

I am using this app with my Nexus 7 and Nooelec NESDR Nano 3 and things are working well (thanks!) I would like to post a question here if I may? Wondering if other Nexus 7 users were able to charge their units while operating this way? I'm plugged in to USB power but not charging. .

Hi and thanks for your review! Being able to charge while using the app depends on the hardware used. We did not come across a solution for the Nexus 7 yet, but you can use a powered OTG adapter to provide power to the dongle.

What’s new

-Enhanced driver performance and frame detection.

-Will now decode military aircraft data.

-New options: Bias Tee, traffic category filter, callsign audio monitor.

-New user guide.
