You are a single cell in a drop of water, and almost everything sharing it with
you is bigger than you are.
Eat anything smaller. Every bite makes you bigger, and every size you gain
turns something that used to hunt you into your next meal. Fill the largest
size and you outgrow the place entirely — the water opens out around you, and
you arrive as the smallest thing in it all over again.
FOUR WORLDS, TWELVE ARENAS
THE DROP: one cell, then a bacterial mat, then green water thick with algae.
THE WATER: a pond, a coral reef, the open ocean. THE LAND: a marsh where you
start as a tadpole and grow legs, dry scrub full of reptiles, then open plains.
THE OPEN: tumbling rock, the planets, and the stars that burn. Twelve times you
become the biggest thing alive, and twelve times you begin again as the
smallest. Eating the galaxy is what finishes it.
A RUN IS A WHOLE WORLD
One run carries you up all three arenas of a world, about six minutes of it,
with your score and your streak carried across. Dying costs you the arena you
were in, never the whole world.
ONE THUMB
Put your thumb anywhere on the screen and swim. Chase anything smaller, get
away from anything bigger, and press a second finger for a burst of speed when
a chase is nearly won. No menus to learn, no timers, no waiting.
THINGS THAT DO NOT CARE HOW BIG YOU ARE
The pond has a current that carries you where you did not steer. The reef has
stingers that end a run at any size, however large you have grown. The ocean
has a drifting mass that will not stay where you left it, and out in the cosmos
gravity wells sit waiting with something lethal in the middle. Size is the
rule; these are the exceptions to it.
GOLD IS WORTH SWIMMING FOR
A frenzy lets you eat anything at all for a few seconds, including whatever was
hunting you a moment ago. A lure stops nearby food running away and draws it
toward you instead.
A NEW BOARD EVERY DAY
One run a day on a board the date picks: the same water, the same arrivals, the
same hazards in the same places for everyone playing it that day.
ENDLESS
The ladder with no top. One life, starting as a single cell however far you
have already come, and past the galaxy it begins again with more of everything
hunting you.
ONE OPTIONAL AD, AND ONLY WHEN YOU ASK
When something eats you, you can watch a short video to carry on from where you
died, once per run. That is the only ad in the game: nothing interrupts you,
nothing plays between runs, and if you never tap it you never see one.
