About this app
iPêche is a mobile application designed by the Ministry of the Environment, the fight against climate change, Wildlife and Parks (MELCCFP) to facilitate the identification of freshwater fish in Quebec using the artificial intelligence. iPêche also makes it possible to identify certain exotic species likely to be observed in Quebec.
By submitting a photo of a fish for identification, you will get the most likely identification results according to iPêche's algorithm. For each species of fish contained in the application, additional information and a list of similar species are presented.
In addition, by voluntarily reporting your observations to the MELCCFP, you can contribute to the management and conservation of freshwater fish and the detection of aquatic invasive species in Quebec territory.
