About this app

oTranslate turns any text on your phone into a translation you can actually use — and then lets you ask about it.

Select it, copy it, or type it. You get a fast on-device translation that works offline, an AI translation that keeps tone and idiom, and free Wikipedia context for a word that needs background.

TRANSLATE ANYWHERE
• Select text in any app, tap the ⋮ menu and choose "Translate with oTranslate".
• Copy anything, then tap the Quick Settings tile or the home-screen widget.
• Long-press the app icon for a shortcut straight to your clipboard.
• Or just type and paste inside the app.

CHOOSE WHO ANSWERS
• On-device translation: free, instant, and offline after a one-time language download.
• AI translation: keeps idiom, slang, tone and register, and adds a short note when the meaning needs one.
• Google Translate, Wikipedia and several AI models are all available — switch on the ones you want and drag them into the order you like. Every source you turn on gets its own card.

• Explain — what the sentence really means, in the language you are reading.
• Summarize — a long paragraph in a line.
• Fix grammar and Polish — your own writing, in its own language.
• Draft reply — a sensible answer you can edit and send.

AI answers are paid for with Stars, so you can always see what you are spending. A welcome gift, a daily bonus and rewarded videos keep topping them up for free, and on-device translation and Wikipedia never cost a Star. Premium adds Stars every period and removes ads.
