Pet Cue is a dog and cat camera with an on-device AI auto-shutter. Sounds made for dogs and cats get their attention, and the AI takes the photo when your pet looks at the lens and holds still. On supported foldables and flip phones, the cue appears on the cover screen beside the rear camera, facing your pet.
AI auto-shutter
• Tracks your pet's face, gaze and movement, and waits for a steady phone.
• Checks each automatic photo for blur at the eyes. A blurry one is marked, and Pet Cue tries again.
• Perfect Shot stops on its own at a sharp look or head tilt toward the lens scoring 8+ out of 10, and keeps sharp new poses along the way.
• The shutter still works at any time, and Stop ends the hunt.
Poses and scores
• A live tag names the pose and scores it out of 10: Look, Head tilt, Side look and more.
• Each photo lists what cost points, such as Too dark or Off-centre.
• Multi-Shot takes a photo at every look until you tap Stop, plus head tilts and new poses such as a play bow.
Phones, foldables and flip phones
• On any phone or tablet, cues play as sounds, and Twinkle also flashes the light dimly.
• On supported book-style foldables, the cue plays on the outer screen while you frame on the inner screen. PET VIEW shows what your pet sees.
• On supported flip phones, the closed cover screen becomes the cue when Pet Cue is allowed there.
• Selfies with your pet: on the front camera, the cue glows just under the lens.
Cues
• 18 sounds, from a squeaky toy to a rising whistle, a meow and a cat chirrup.
• Two silent visual cues, Laser dot and Wiggly fish, when a screen faces your pet.
• Your voice: record up to four short calls, such as your pet's name. Sticker: turn a photo into a visual cue.
• Pick a cue or let AUTO choose. Cues vary by pet and device; some are manual only.
Hearing and vision research
Published research on dog and cat hearing and vision shaped the cues:
• Short sounds with soft starts and fewer harsh high frequencies.
• A soft first cue, louder only if needed, and growing pauses. After eight cues, the camera watches quietly.
• Bold yellow, cream and gold shapes with prey-like moves that pause beside the lens.
It learns each pet
Each pet has its own profile. Pet Cue notes which cues get a look and how fast; AUTO favors them and still tries others.
Camera and photo tools
• Photos grouped by session, best first. Filter by pose or 8+.
• Video mode: cues keep playing, and with Auto-shutter on, each look also saves a photo.
• A Quick Settings tile opens the camera, even on the lock screen.
• Volume-button shutter, six app icon colors and a full in-app Guide.
• Save your pet portraits to the gallery, share them, or make a Stories-sized collage; every Shuffle gives it a new look.
Privacy
Everything runs on your device: Pet Cue works offline, has no internet permission and collects no data. No account, ads, tracking, subscription or in-app purchases.
