About this app

Herald is a digital business card that saves properly.

Somebody points a camera at your code and their phone opens its own contact screen, with your details already filled in. There is no landing page in the middle and nothing for them to install. That is the whole product.

You pay once. Editing your card afterwards is free forever, and every future scan serves whatever it says today, so printed cards and email signatures never go stale.

WHAT THE APP ADDS

Write your card to a blank NFC tag. Hold a tag against your phone and Herald encodes it, so tapping it opens your card. The tag holds a link rather than a copy of your details, which means changing your number never leaves a tag wrong, and losing one is a revoke away from harmless. Buy blank tags anywhere and rewrite them as often as you like.

Keep the cards you are handed. Photograph a paper card and the person goes into your phone's contacts, and a copy stays in Herald with a note about where you met, so a follow-up months later still makes sense.

Take their details, not just give yours. Anyone who opens your card can share their own information back if they want to. They need no account and no app, and nothing is sent unless they choose to send it.

Export to your CRM. Your contacts, or your team's, download as a CSV that any CRM imports.

Get told when somebody saves you. A notification within minutes of a scan, so a note goes out the same day. It never says who scanned you, because we do not know.

WHAT WE DO NOT DO

We do not record who scanned your card. There is no identity attached to a scan and no way for us to tell you. You can be told four people saved you on Tuesday, and never which four.

We do not charge a subscription. If we ever stop, you get ninety days notice and an export first.

The people who scan your card still install nothing. This app is for you, not for them.

Scans land in Herald: scanning someone's Herald card opens the contact sheet first, with their details filled in, and keeps a copy in Cards You Captured.
Home screen widgets, with the card of your choice on each. A tap on a widget opens that card.
Google Wallet: add your card from the Wallet button on the card row. The code on the pass opens the contact sheet on the other phone.
Show My Code from a Quick Settings tile or a long press on the icon.
