About this app

Learn the words you actually meet. AI turns each one into a full card, and spaced repetition brings it back right before you would forget it.

repeat.cards is a flashcard app for anyone learning a foreign language, at any level: alongside a course, a tutor, a series or a book.

REVIEWS TIMED TO YOUR MEMORY

• FSRS spaced repetition, an open scheduler built on current forgetting-curve research, picks the moment you are about to forget each word.
• Both directions are tracked separately. "casa → house" and "house → casa" each get their own schedule, so you learn the word both ways.
• Daily limits keep sessions humane, and you can keep going when you are in the zone.

AI BUILDS THE CARD

• One tap turns a bare word into a complete card: translation, picture, pronunciation, an example sentence and a memory hook.
• Stuck on a card? Ask the AI about it: usage, nuance, why this word and not that one.
• Real pronunciation in 100+ languages, with regional variants such as American or British English.

CAPTURE WORDS FROM THE SCREEN, A PHOTO OR TEXT

• A floating bubble sits over any app: a video player, a browser, a chat. Tap it, pick words from the screen and get a translation on the spot.
• Or take a photo of a page, or paste a text, and tap the words you want.
• Saved words wait in the inbox until you make them cards or mark them as known, so tonight's film is in tomorrow's reviews.

READ BOOKS IN THE APP

• Upload an EPUB or FB2 book. Tap a word or select a phrase to translate it, and save it to the inbox.
• New words are marked, known ones stay plain. Text size, typeface, spacing and margins are yours to set, and the book keeps your place across devices.

WATCH YOUR OWN VIDEO WITH SUBTITLES (ANDROID)

• Open a stream link from another app with “Open with”, an M3U list or a video file from your phone: your own recordings or openly licensed video. The app itself supplies no videos.
• Subtitles come from the stream or your own .srt or .vtt file, with the encoding detected and a shift to sync them.
• Tap a word or a phrase to translate and save it, or translate the whole line. Unknown words are underlined, and a video picks up where you stopped.

TYPE THE ANSWER, SEE WHAT WAS OFF

• When a card shows the translation, type the word from memory. A letter-by-letter comparison shows spelling and accent errors. When you see the word, recall its meaning and rate your answer.
• Think your answer should count? Let the AI check it, and keep it as an accepted alternative.

BUILT FOR REAL GRAMMAR

• Articles (der/die/das, le/la), irregular plurals and full conjugation tables are fields of their own, and training asks for them.
• Presets for Spanish, German, French, Portuguese, Italian, Russian and English, and custom fields for everything else.

BRING YOUR EXISTING DECK

• Import an Anki collection (.colpkg) with its review history, so your progress comes along and known cards are not reset to new.

SEE WHAT IS COMING

• A review forecast shows what is due today, this week and this month, per deck or across all of them.
• Reminders at the times you choose. Light and dark themes.

PRICING TODAY

Decks, cards, training and the review schedule are free, with no card limits. The AI features run on coins: every new account starts with some, and you can buy more when they run out. Purchases are one-off, with no subscription, and coins do not expire. Or add your own OpenAI or Google key and pay your AI provider directly, with no coins.
