About this app

RizCare for Practices is the phone app for the team at a clinic that uses RizCare. Receptionists, nurses and doctors work from the same patient records as the clinic's computers, and each person sees what their role allows. Your clinic adds you and gives you your sign-in; you cannot create an account in the app.

THE DAY
- Today's appointments and walk-ins in one list: waiting to be seen, with a clinician, not arrived yet, and seen. You can see how long each waiting patient has waited.
- Record an arrival or add a walk-in in a couple of taps.
- The diary shows the day for every clinician, or just one, with the free times left in their hours. Book, move and cancel appointments from it.

PATIENTS
- Find a patient by name, folder number or phone number.
- Register a new patient. If someone with the same name and date of birth is already on the phone, the app shows them first, so the same person is not registered twice.
- A chart opens with allergies at the top, then recent readings, results, notes and prescriptions. Allergies also show on the day's list and in the visit.

THE VISIT
- Record blood pressure, temperature, pulse and weight. A temperature typed in Fahrenheit is stopped before it is saved.
- Write a note from your clinic's templates and save it as a draft. Sign it later in RizCare on a computer.
- Mark a result as reviewed, with your review note.

WHEN THE CONNECTION DROPS
Records on the phone still open. Arrivals, walk-ins, readings, registrations, result reviews and note drafts save on the phone and are sent when you're back online. Each one shows whether it is saved on this phone or sent. If something you saved needs a second look, it waits in the Waiting tab until you deal with it. Nothing you save is thrown away.

WHAT NEEDS A CONNECTION
- Booking, moving and cancelling appointments. Recording an arrival does not.
- Setting up the app on a phone, which also needs your RizCare password.

ONE PHONE, SEVERAL PEOPLE
Colleagues can share a phone. Each person has their own account on it, and their records open only with their own RizCare password.
