New translations and corrections can be suggested at http://contribute.dict.cc/. Every translation gets checked by several other contributing users. The downloadable vocabularies are updated daily.

Ratings and reviews

This app and its website version are excellent, multi-language dictionary applications. Do not fool yourself into thinking that google's translater is all you need. Nothing can replace a well formatted dictionary. I appreciate very much the amount of work that the developer has poured into bringing us this excellent language resource and tool. This app is full of excellent usage, voice translations, and clear verb conjugations examples. It also offers additional web resources. Excellent work.

I got the plus version to utilize the extra features, and just to support the devs because this is an absolutely incredible offline dictionary. I use this for my German studies, and it's a lifesaver, as it is very fast and easy to look up a word on the fly. My only wish is that there was an option to switch to American English instead of British English because the translations for idioms often use British variants. I still give it 5 stars, however :)

I've been using the free version for about 8 years and finally bought the Plus version because it's such a great app. Even without the extra features compared to the free version, it's worth it considering how much I've learned from it. Between audio from natives, German inflections, and ease of search, I can't thank the developer and contributers enough for the work involved to ease the learning process.
