Simple Shot Timer is a clean, no-nonsense shot timer for dry-fire and live-fire practice. Designed for practical shooters who want fast feedback, accurate splits, and a full history of their drills — without ads, tracking, or accounts.
DRILL MODES
• Standard — open string. Beep, shoot, tap stop. Splits and total time on screen.
• Par — set a par time and the number of cycles. Each cycle has its own start and end beep, with an optional rest interval between cycles. Perfect for repeatable drill work.
• Stage — long single-window timer up to 200 seconds for stage walk-throughs and scenario practice.
START DELAY
Instant, fixed, or random within a min/max range. Random delay shows a live countdown so you know the timer is working.
SHOT DETECTION
• Live audio stream from the device microphone with amplitude-based peak detection.
• Echo filter and beep blanking so the start/par beep never registers as a shot.
• Dedicated mic test screen with a level meter and adjustable threshold — dial in sensitivity before going hot.
• Manual shot input at any time, if the mic is having a bad day or you are somewhere quiet.
HISTORY & REVIEW
• Every string saved automatically with a rolling cap (50–5000, default 500).
• Review individual strings with split times, fastest, slowest, and average.
• Editable label, notes, and penalty per string.
CSV EXPORT
Export a single string or your whole history as CSV via the system share sheet — email it to yourself, drop it in cloud storage, or open it in your spreadsheet of choice.
PRIVACY-FIRST
• 100% on-device. No accounts, no cloud, no analytics, no ads, no tracking.
• Your data stays on your phone until you delete it.
• The microphone is used live, in memory, only during an active string. No audio is recorded or transmitted.
QUALITY OF LIFE
• Visual screen flash on beep, useful in noisy or earpro-heavy environments.
• Optional haptic feedback on beep.
• Keep-screen-awake during a string.
• Monochrome Material 3 theme with System, Light, Dark, and High-contrast options.
LANGUAGES
English, German, French, Spanish, Russian.
PERMISSIONS
• Microphone — required for shot detection. Requested on first START.
• Vibration — optional haptic on beep.
• Wake lock — keeps the screen on during a string.
