Vellum is a private, local-first journal with a reflective AI that lives entirely on your device. Nothing syncs. Nothing is sent. Nothing is watched.
Most journaling apps quietly send your most personal writing to someone else's servers. Vellum doesn't — because it can't. There is no backend, no account, and no analytics. Your words have nowhere to go but the page.

Gentle daily prompts, quiet entry reflections, mood trends, and recurring-theme insights are all computed on your phone by a small language model. The model downloads once, then works offline forever.

Entries and attachments are AES-256 encrypted at rest, with the key sealed in your device's secure hardware. Open Vellum with your fingerprint, face, or passcode.
