About this app

Vonode is the Android companion for your own Vonode node, so the overseas number you already have can stay at home.

Run a Vonode node on a Linux machine with a SIM or modem attached, pair this app once, and use that number from your phone over a secure connection to your own node.

What you can do
- Make and receive calls over cellular or Wi-Fi Calling through your node
- Read and send text messages
- Get alerts for incoming calls and new messages
- Pair by scanning a QR code or pasting a pairing code

Your data stays on your node. Messages, call history and numbers are stored there, and the app reaches it through an encrypted SSH tunnel. Vonode servers do not collect them.

Free and one-time options
Reading text messages for one number is free. Calls, sending messages and alerts are unlocked by a one-time purchase in the app. There is no subscription.

You need your own Vonode node. Vonode does not provide hosting, SIM cards, phone service, hardware or carrier access, and availability depends on your hardware, network and carrier. Vonode is not an emergency communications service.
