Yap is a keyboard you talk to. Tap the microphone, say what you want to write, and Yap types it into whatever app you are in: messages, email, notes, documents, search.
YOUR VOICE STAYS ON YOUR PHONE
Yap recognizes speech on the phone itself with NVIDIA's Parakeet speech model. Your recordings and your words are never uploaded, so nobody else can listen to them, store them or train on them.
WORKS OFFLINE
The speech model downloads once (about 670 MB). After that Yap dictates with Wi-Fi and mobile data off: on a plane, on the train, anywhere.
FAST AND CLEAN
Your words appear the moment you stop talking, with punctuation and capital letters. In English Yap also drops "um" and "uh", and you can say "comma" or "new line" when you want to.
25 LANGUAGES
English and 24 European languages, recognized automatically: German, French, Spanish, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch, Polish, Swedish, Danish, Finnish, Czech, Slovak, Hungarian, Romanian, Bulgarian, Greek, Croatian, Slovenian, Estonian, Latvian, Lithuanian, Maltese, Russian and Ukrainian.

Switch to Yap from the keyboard button whenever you want to talk, then switch back. Keyboards with a voice key can also hand dictation to Yap.

What’s new
New: an Account screen for your plan, signing out and deleting your account. While your free days last, a quiet "Free until" line replaces the plan buttons, with one reminder near the end. Yap now checks that your phone has the memory on-device speech needs before it downloads the speech model, and recovers if loading the model was interrupted.
