Times — Times of the Day and Shabbat Times Everywhere in Israel
All halachic times of the day for every city, town, neighborhood and moshav in Israel. Sunrise, sunset, end of Shema reading time (Mega and Gra), large mincha, small mincha, Peleg Hamincha, star emergence and Rabinu Tam — calculated astronomically in real time.
Why install the app?
1,419 cities and towns — from Jerusalem and Bnei Brak, through Karnei Shomron and Mitzpe Jericho, to the smallest towns in the Galilee, the Arava and the Golan Heights. Each town gets its own full page, not just the nearest large town.
Calculation by altitude above sea level — critical especially in Jerusalem (754 m), Safed (850 m), and in towns in the Judean and Golan Heights. Jerusalem sees sunrise about 4 minutes earlier than Tel Aviv, and this is correctly displayed in the app.
Candle lighting minutes according to the custom of each city — 18, 22, 30 or 40 minutes before sunset according to the community's custom, not according to a generic calculation.
Sabbath times
A full weekly schedule for each locality — lighting candles, ending of Shabbat, Rabbeinu Tam, 4 weeks ahead.
Choose any Shabbat within a 10-year period — including the Parasha, Torah reading and holidays that fall along the way.
Full holiday times — the beginning of the holiday, its end, fasting times, Chol Hamoed.
Hebrew calendar
Hebrew date for today and for every day within a 10-year period.
Holidays, fasting, Independence Day, Holocaust Memorial Day — with precise times for each city.
Months, Parashot order, the second day of Adar Memorial Day.
Additional features
"The Next Time" — an accurate countdown to the upcoming sunrise, sunset, Shabbat beginning or Shabbat ending.
Compare times between cities — How many minutes separate the start of Shabbat in Jerusalem from the start of Shabbat in Tel Aviv?
Locate by location — GPS automatically locates the city closest to you.
Favorite cities — Save the cities that are most important to you at the top of the list.
Free embeddable widget — for community and synagogue websites.
Calculation sources
All times are calculated using the hebcal library (open source) — the same library that powers hebcal.com. The algorithms are based on NOAA Solar Calculator and Jean Meeus Astronomical Algorithms. Sunrise and sunset accuracy is less than one minute when altitude above sea level is included in the calculation.
No substitute for a rabbi: The times here are astronomical information. Different communities use different methods (Mega, Gra, Tanya, Chazon Ish), and times like Rabbeinu Tam also depend on location and actual sight. For actual halachic rulings — the rabbi of the community should be consulted.
