About this app

Trusted childcare near you.

Friday 6 p.m., no one to babysit Saturday night. bbapp first alerts your trusted babysitters, then neighbors within 5 km, then 15 km — and stops as soon as someone replies.

A MESSAGING SYSTEM THAT PROTECTS

Every message exchanged on bbapp is automatically reviewed by artificial intelligence hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak. A phone number slipped in before the first babysitting session, an invitation to continue elsewhere, an inappropriate comment: the message doesn't get through, the sender knows why, and our team reviews it. Babysitter profiles, requests, and reviews are reviewed in the same way before being published.

The AI makes no other decisions. It doesn't choose a babysitter, doesn't rate anyone, and doesn't write on behalf of anyone.

WE ALSO VERIFY FAMILIES

Elsewhere, they vet the babysitter and take the parent's word for it. That's the opposite of the real risk.

On bbapp, a babysitter only goes to families whose name and address have been confirmed—by a letter sent to them. And a family only accepts babysitters whose ID has been opened and the date read by a human being. A report suspends both parties, not just the one we suspect.

WHAT EACH FAMILY REQUIRES, THEY CHOOSE

bbapp imposes only one condition: a phone number confirmed by SMS, by both parties. For everything else—Red Cross Babysitting Passport, first aid certificate, criminal record check—the family sets the bar, and they see in real time how many babysitters remain above it.

YOUR DAUGHTER IS BABY-SITTING? YOU SEE HER ENTIRE ACCOUNT

A babysitter under 18 cannot be on bbapp without a responsible parent linked to their account. This parent sets the cut-off time in the evening, authorizes each family before the first babysitting session, and reads the conversations. A meeting, or a phone call, is mandatory before the first session.

When you open the app, you choose who you are—just like on a TV: Parent, Babysitter, or your child's account. One account, the same messages for both.

Their tile opens their entire profile: their introduction, verified profiles, availability, limits, families, babysitting sessions, and their entire conversations—including blocked messages they never received. A red dot indicates what deserves your attention, and a summary of their week arrives every Monday. You read, you adjust, you pause; you never write on their behalf.

WHAT WE DON'T STORE

No photos of children. No last names of children. No documents concerning children. These fields simply don't exist in our database.

DICTATE AND READ IN THE OTHER LANGUAGE

A microphone to dictate your message or request instead of typing it. And a link to read a message in French or German: bbapp speaks to families on both sides of the Sarine River.

NO MONEY PASSES THROUGH THE APP

You pay for childcare directly with the provider, as you always have. bbapp doesn't handle this money and doesn't take any commission.

THE CHILDCARE LOG

Two lines left when leaving: what they ate, what time they went to sleep, a little something extra to know. This is what the parents check the next day.

FREE FOR BABY-SITTERS, ALWAYS

They're often teenagers: they never pay.

For families, the first request is free. After that, it's CHF 20 per year for the whole household, with as many requests as you want.

The account is for VOIZY, the neighbor help app from the same company: if you already have it, you don't need to create anything.

French-speaking Switzerland. Data hosted in Switzerland, including artificial intelligence. No advertising, no data resale.

What’s new
