About this game

With Canton Hero, you'll learn about the 26 Swiss cantons: their coats of arms, the abbreviations on their license plates, their capital cities, and where each canton is located on the map.

Coats of Arms and Symbols

* Find the Coat of Arms: The canton is listed, and you need to find the correct coat of arms.

* Coat of Arms Quiz: The reverse: See the coat of arms and choose the canton.

* License Plate: Which abbreviation belongs to which canton?

* Type: Write the name yourself (for double stars).

Country and Places
* Capital City: First, identify the canton by its coat of arms, then find the capital city.

* Canton Map: Tap the canton on the map of Switzerland.

* Country of Cantons: Match mountains, lakes, and rivers to their respective cantons.

* Coat of Arms Puzzle: Drag all 26 coats of arms into their correct positions.

* Want a larger view? Which canton has more people, which has more land area?

Each game tests the same knowledge differently. Questions a child already knows become more challenging. Questions that are still missing appear more frequently. The start screen suggests what's coming next and explains why.

COLLECT AND KEEP GOING

Stars are awarded for correct answers. Each canton has a collector's card with two facts, the year of accession, and the official languages, along with 19 badges and a map of Switzerland that gradually fills up as the player progresses. Later, "How Switzerland Grown" is added: eleven years from 1291 to 1979 that can be played back, and the map changes color accordingly.

Incorrect answers don't result in a reprimand, but rather a second attempt followed by an explanation.


Players who make a mistake don't get a reprimand, but rather another try, followed by an explanation. FOR PARENTS

This game was created because a daughter wanted to learn the cantons. Therefore, everything that might be distracting during learning is omitted.
