Mobiliar CleverDrive is the smart insurance solution for every driver with a motor vehicle insurance policy from die Mobiliar.
Die Mobiliar rewards you with a discount of up to 25% on your motor vehicle insurance premium — simply by driving safely and attentively.
When you take out your Mobiliar CleverDrive contract, your Bluetooth beacon is sent to you free of charge. You can then register in the Mobiliar CleverDrive app, mount the Bluetooth beacon in your vehicle and activate it. As soon as you are in your vehicle, the CleverDrive app connects to the associated Bluetooth beacon and your trips are recorded automatically.
Each trip is analysed and rated according to the same criteria, such as speed, road type, time of day, and acceleration/braking behaviour. These criteria are weighted differently and produce your trip rating, which you can then view in the Meine Mobiliar app. The safer and more attentive you drive, the higher your overall score and your individual discount in the next insurance year. This way, you ultimately decide how much you want to save.
We place particular importance on the security of your data. All recorded data is protected in accordance with the applicable Swiss data protection law. It is used exclusively to determine your overall driving score.

Note:
To use the app, an Android smartphone with GPS, Bluetooth, accelerometer and gyroscope sensor running Android 11 or newer is required.
To pair a beacon and start recording trips, you need a CleverDrive insurance contract with die Mobiliar.
Required permissions for the CleverDrive app
To use the Mobiliar CleverDrive app to its full extent, the following permissions are required on your Android smartphone:
Location
Allows the app to collect GPS location data from which your driving behaviour is derived. Location data is also accessed when the app is running in the background — but only when you are connected to your Bluetooth beacon and in your vehicle.
*Bluetooth*
The app requires permission to connect to the CleverDrive Bluetooth beacon in order to record trips.
Background app refresh
Allows the app to perform its functions even when it is not actively in the foreground.
Mobile data
The app requires access to the mobile network for accurate location and trip recording.
Battery optimization
To ensure automatic background recording, certain battery-saving settings must be disabled for the app. The app will guide you through this step explicitly.
Foreground notification
To reliably maintain Bluetooth connections and record trips automatically, the app uses a foreground service. A notification keeps you informed of the current status — showing "Recording trip" while a trip is actively being recorded.
