With the PubliBike app you can rent a bike 24/7
The app shows you immediately which stations are nearby and how many bikes or e-bikes are available. In your customer account you will find your previous trips and the travel expenses.

The app also provides the following features:
- Searching for bicycles
- Rent bicycles
- Registration
- Select subscription
- Show available bicycles
- Show map with locations
- Manage your account
- All trips at a glance
- Displays the current position on the map (if GPS is available)
- Walking distance in minutes to the next station

They couldn't resolve a technical issue on their side for a month and I could not use the service for this time. They offered me compensation (since I was subscribed) first, but I haven't heard back since. Would not recommend them. Yeah the 'chat' is also a very useful feature where I can chat with a bot for a few minutes just so it can transfer me to a human who would contact me in 10 days or something like that. I have never heard back from this representative.

Very useful bike rental in Switzerland. The customer service and how they handle customer inquiries is very bad though - no customer centricity. Lost CHF 200 since they did not inform me about a change of an abo and they also refuse to repay any costs for rentals where the trip was not ended correctly.

I used to like Publibike a lot, but now I wouldn't recommend. It seems like there are just not enough bikes in the network. I live close to Meierhofplatz in Zürich, and the station is always empty in the morning. The next one is 15 minutes walk away, since they've just closed a nearby station. If you can get a bike, it's nice to ride it, but the lack of the bikes is just so frustrating. Publibike is not an alternative for public transport anymore :(
