About this app

The Swiss German Dictionary is the first comprehensive dictionary for Standard German and Swiss German and vice versa. It contains a total of 10,600 spoken language entries and 17,400 explanations, examples and idioms. A full-text search is also available. A list of favorites can also be defined.

The Swiss German dialect differs from standard High German in pronunciation, vocabulary and sometimes also in grammar. That's why the Swiss German dictionary contains the most important vocabulary and numerous expressions that are only used in Switzerland. For all words you can hear how they are pronounced in Switzerland by a native speaker. With the Swiss German dictionary you will learn to conjugate verbs in Swiss German and correctly form the plural of nouns.
