About this app

SoftKitchen is the kitchen display system (KDS) of the Softphia restaurant platform. Orders taken on the Softphia till appear on the kitchen screen the moment they are sent, so every cook can see what to prepare next. No paper tickets, no shouting across the pass.

Live kitchen board
• Three columns: Pending, Preparing and Ready
• New orders arrive in real time, with an optional sound alert
• A running timer on every ticket; tickets that wait too long change colour
• Table and area for dine-in orders; takeaway and delivery clearly marked
• Filter the board by dine-in, takeaway or delivery

Every detail on the ticket
• Quantities, variants, extras and add-ons
• Notes per dish and per order, such as "medium rare" or an allergy
• Accept, prepare, mark ready and served with one tap
• Open a ticket to move single dishes to preparing or ready, or to cancel one

Nothing gets missed
• Cancelled orders and dishes stay highlighted, with a repeating alert, until a cook confirms them
• Each screen only changes the tickets of its own kitchen stations, for example the hot kitchen or the bar
• The board keeps itself in sync and shows when the live connection drops

Quick set-up
• Activate a screen by scanning the station's QR code, or sign in with station code and password
• Made for landscape Android tablets mounted in the kitchen; also runs on phones in landscape
• Pearl, Glacier and Night themes; reduced transparency and increased contrast
• 8 languages: English, Turkish, German, French, Italian, Russian, Spanish and European Portuguese; the German and French variants follow your business's location (Swiss, or as used in Germany and France)

Requirements
SoftKitchen works only with a Softphia business account that includes the KDS Screens module, and a kitchen screen set up in SoftPanel, the Softphia management panel. The app does not create accounts: it signs in as a station of your business. More at https://softphia.ch

Privacy
The camera is used only to scan the activation QR code; the image is read on the device and is never stored or sent. No ads, no tracking.

What’s new

New: production and recipes on the kitchen screen, where your business uses them. Cooks sign in with their 6-digit PIN to start, pause and complete batches with yield, waste and best-before date, and to edit recipes. A new ticket is announced on every screen with a sound, a banner and a badge. Ticket buttons show only the moves that are allowed. Fixes and improvements.
