About this app

☀️ NoFootprint is private, solar-powered AI — a chat assistant and a suite of tools that run on hardware we own and power with the sun, not on big-tech AI datacenters.

Technology should amplify human creativity, not replace it. NoFootprint cuts busywork and accelerates real creation with practical, fast AI tools. We focus on usefulness over generative noise — so you spend more time making things and less time on tasks meant for machines.

WHAT YOU CAN DO 🛠️
• Chat with a capable AI assistant for questions, writing, planning, and coding.
• Search the web privately, with sources.
• Ask questions about your own documents.
• Solve math and symbolic problems (algebra, calculus, and more)
• Work with chemistry and other technical tools.
• Clean up and transcribe audio.
• 🌴Visit the Oasis to read over 10,000 free books, and listen to calming nature sounds while you chat!

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
• Your prompts run on our own hardware — and are never sent to a third-party AI provider.
• We don't train AI models on your conversations, ever.
• No ads. No third-party analytics. No tracking.
• Your saved memories are encrypted. Quantum-resistant cryptography helps guard your data against 'harvest now, decrypt later' attacks.
• Export everything, or delete your whole account, any time — right from the app.
• The lightweight Rust core makes NoFootprint fast, secure and responsive, but easy on your battery and phone RAM.

SOLAR-POWERED ☀️
NoFootprint runs on solar power. Our AI sips solar energy instead of being part of the reason power bills are going up. We expand our solar as we get more users, we do this because AI can and should be built sustainably. If we ever run out of solar power on a given day, we purchase local high quality renewable energy credits to offset our grid usage, directly supporting local solar adoption and grid infrastructure.
