Dux is a new way to explore the sights and scenes of some of our most picturesque cities and towns.

Whether you’re a lifelong local or just passing through, Dux uses Augmented Reality (AR) to empower you to engage with the people and places that sit at the heart of wherever you might find yourself.

Be whisked away on enrapturing scavenger hunts, explore self-guided tours at your own pace, hear local legends tell their stories in their own words, or unearth hidden gems and secret locales typically known only to the most local of locals.

Location & Data Usage Disclosure:

Dux collects precise location data continuously, including in the background (when the app is closed or not in use), to deliver its core tour guide experience.

This enables key features such as:
- Showing your real-time position on interactive tour maps
- Notifying you (via badge and toast alerts) when you reach tour stops or points of interest
- Providing real-time guidance and progress tracking along routes
- Delivering proximity-based scavenger hunt hints and local discoveries

Background access ensures you never miss an upcoming stop or hidden gem during your exploration—even while using other apps. Without it, the seamless, self-guided tour functionality would be significantly limited or unusable.

Location data is processed in real-time only for these tour features and is not stored, logged, or archived on our servers after your session ends, logout, or when you disable access.

Dux also uses:
- Firebase Analytics to monitor anonymous app usage trends and improve features
- Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymous crash logs and performance data for bug fixes and stability

No personal or location data is used for advertising, sold, or shared with third parties beyond what's necessary for Firebase Analytics/Crashlytics to function.

You can manage or disable location access anytime in your device settings.
