About this app

Rakin is a Mapuche word that means to count. With this word we wanted to name this free application designed to stimulate math skills in kindergarten children. The main core of the application is a virtual desktop where toddlers, together with their parents and educators, will be able to learn and practice early mathematical skills such as serialization, classification, conservation of quantity, notion of number and numbers. The application has a games section where stimulated mathematical notions can be practiced on the virtual desktop. It also has the biographies of women of different times, ages, countries and disciplines who have made important contributions to science. In addition, the application has a section where the main scientific contributions of some Latin American cultures and peoples are described.
