About this app

Clean Scanner is a document scanner for your phone that turns paper into clean PDF files. Scan documents, receipts, contracts, notes and homework with the camera, or turn photos from your gallery into one multi-page PDF. Then share or print the PDF in a few taps. This PDF scanner creates every file without watermarks.

Scan documents with the camera
• Tap Scan and point the camera at a page: the document scanner detects the page and captures it automatically.
• Edges are found and the page is cropped for you, turned upright and corrected for perspective.
• Adjust the crop, rotate a page by hand and reorder pages before saving.
• Filters: color, grayscale and auto enhancement.
• Remove shadows, stains and fingers from the page.
• Add images from your gallery right inside the camera scanner.
• The camera scanner is built on Google's ML Kit Document Scanner, processes pages on your device and needs Google Play services.

Photo to PDF: Import from gallery
• Tap Import from gallery and pick one or more photos.
• Crop each page by dragging its corners.
• Choose a mode for every page: Auto, Color, Grayscale or B&W.
• Save all pages as one PDF.
Photo to PDF works well for pictures you already took of a letter, a form, a book page or a whiteboard.

Scan to PDF, up to 100 pages
• Scan documents with many pages: the PDF scanner saves up to 100 pages from one scan as a single multi-page PDF.
• No watermarks are added to your pages.
• Scanning, Import from gallery, the library, Share and Print are free to use. There is no limit on how many documents you scan to PDF.

Your document library
• Thumbnails and page count for every scanned document.
• Search documents by name.
• Sort by Newest first, Oldest first or Name (A–Z).
• Rename or delete documents.

Open, Share and Print
• Open a PDF in any PDF viewer installed on your phone.
• Share a PDF by email, through a messaging app or to a cloud drive app you use, via the Android share sheet.
• Print through Android printing.

Pro features: OCR, Password Protect, Backup
Tap Upgrade to Pro to unlock:
• OCR: text recognition extracts the text from a scanned PDF, page by page, right on your device, and lets you share the text with any app. It reads only Latin-alphabet text, such as English, Spanish, French and German; it does not read Cyrillic, Greek, Arabic, Hebrew, Indic, Thai, Chinese, Japanese or Korean scripts. To get text from a photo, convert the photo to PDF with Import from gallery, then run OCR. Password-protected PDFs cannot be read by OCR.
• Password Protect: lock a PDF with a password of at least 4 characters before you send it.
• Backup: export all your documents as a ZIP archive and restore them from that archive later. This is a file backup, not cloud sync.
