About this app

Paint over the faces, license plates, addresses and screens you do not want to
publish. Brutal Blurring destroys that part of the picture instead of covering
it up, so there is nothing left to recover — no hidden layer, no original tucked
inside the file, and nothing a sharpening filter can bring back.

Everything happens on your phone. No account, no upload, no ads, no tracking.

WHAT IS IN IT

• Blur Editor — draw freehand or drop a shape over the area to protect, pinch to
zoom for fine work, then render. Edges are feathered, so the result reads as
part of the photo rather than a pasted-on patch.
• Bulk Metadata Removal — strip EXIF, GPS coordinates and every other tag from many photos and videos in one pass. Videos are rewritten without re-encoding, so nothing is lost to a second compression.
• Camera — shoot straight into the editor at the crop and size you have set.
• Your choice of crop ratio, output size and JPEG quality.

WHY THIS BLUR HOLDS UP

A gentle blur is a disguise, not a deletion. The detail is still in the file,
only smeared, and it can be undone. Brutal Blurring sizes the blur against both
the resolution of the photo and the area you painted, wide enough to push the
face's contrast under the noise floor, then lays correlated noise over the top so
the region cannot be averaged back into shape. What comes out is color and light, not a person.

Everything you paint is blurred the whole way through. The soft edge that blends the patch into the photo is laid outside that area, never inside it, so a pixel that looks covered is never one that is only half covered — and the editor shows you exactly the area the export guarantees.

PRIVACY

Your photos and videos are read, edited and saved on the device and nowhere else. Nothing is collected, nothing is transmitted, nothing is kept once you leave a picture behind. The tip button is the only link out of the app, and it hands off to your browser so you can see where you are going before you decide.

You do not have to take that on trust. The app asks for no network permission at all — check the permission list on this page before you install. Without it the
app cannot open a connection to anywhere, whatever it might claim.
