Seabag is a free document wallet for merchant seafarers.

Your certificates, passport, visas, medicals, sea service and discharge book entries live in one place. Seabag warns you before anything expires, and lets you send a chosen set of documents to an employer or crewing agent as a link that stops working on the date you set.

WHAT IT HOLDS
Certificates of competency and proficiency, flag endorsements, STCW certificates, tanker and value added courses, passport and seafarer identity documents, CDC and INDOS, visas, medicals and vaccinations, and your sea service record.

EXPIRIES
Set how far ahead you want to be warned and Seabag tells you what is due, by email and on your phone. Anything overdue stays in front of you rather than sliding down a list.

SENDING DOCUMENTS
Pick the documents, set an expiry date, send the link. Whoever you send it to downloads what you chose and nothing else. Withdraw the link and it stops working immediately. Next of kin and bank details are off unless you tick them on for that one link.

YOUR RESUME
Seabag builds a seafarer resume from your profile and your sea service, ready to send or to publish at an address you control.

AT SEA
A copy of your bag is kept on the phone, so you can read your own documents with no connection at all.

WHAT SEABAG DOES NOT DO
Your documents are not read, parsed, indexed or analysed. Nothing in your bag trains a model. Nothing is sold or handed to a data broker. There is no advertising anywhere in the app. Seabag staff cannot open your documents.
