About this game

Behind Junction Nine is a published mathematical result: in a 3×3 grid where any rectangle can be spun 180 degrees, every arrangement can be returned to order - and never in more than nine spins.

We designed the puzzles and independently calculated the fewest spins each one takes. See if you can match the minimum.

HOW IT WORKS
Spin any rectangular section of the grid 180°. Remember - squares count as rectangles. A move can shift several pieces at once, so fixing one connection can disrupt another.

Rotate tiles until every connection lines up. Then keep going: can you match the fewest possible spins?
