With the Spokane Public Library app you can search our catalog, check you account, find your local branch or discover upcoming events. If you’re at a SPL location, you can use your digital library card to check out materials. You can even scan a barcode of a book to see if we carry it!

I was hoping this application would allow me to quickly place a hold within it. But when I search for a title in the app, it opens in my phone's web browser and I have to re-enter my card number. I guess having the whole library's catalog in an app is too much. 🙁 In the developers' description of the app, it says I can scan a book's barcode to see if the library carries it. But I cannot find that function.

Doesn't give access to regular library check-outs or holds - digital collection only. Catalog search takes you to the regular library website - just go there directly in your browser and skip the app.

When this app first came out, it worked well. Now it is limited to digital only and not very useful. It can be a great tool if normal functionality is restored.
