If you move out of range of the sensor the app will disconnect, which is expected. However moving back into range the app will never connect to the sensor again unless you pull the batteries out of the sensor. This loses ALL historical information of the cook. Unless this is fixed the system is essentially useless

It would not connect to a Galaxy 8+, exchanged it for another one and it connected without issue, so bad hardware first time around. 2nd unit works great with no complaints.

It requires your location and access to your files. I did not accept that permission request and so the app can't find the thermometer. Why would i want to give some random company my location and access to all the files on my device so i can cook some meat???
