About this app

Your new home for everything worth saving.

Pocket is shutting down — but the spirit of it lives on in Folio.

Folio is a read-it-later app for people who love to read, watch, and learn. Save articles, videos, and stories from anywhere, and come back to them when you’re ready — on your phone, tablet, or computer.

It’s like bookmarking, but better. Clean, simple, and built for focus.

What you can do with Folio:

* Save in one tap – From your browser, favorite apps, or anywhere you find something interesting.
* Read without distractions – Enjoy a quiet, beautifully formatted reading experience — just you and the words.
* Take your time – Everything you save is synced across devices and available offline.
* Listen instead – Turn articles into audio and catch up on your saved stories hands-free.
* Find new favorites – Get thoughtful recommendations based on what you save.

Folio turns the web into your personal library. Whether you’re commuting, relaxing, or deep in research, it’s the best place to save what matters — and come back when it matters most.

Missing Pocket? This app has been developed recently just for us and fits the bill even better than Instapaper or Readwise. Even the symbols at the top of the display look the same and there are a few extra options plus the overall UI has the same stylish simplicity. I had no luck with importing via the initial fast-track display but in Settings there's an option for importing a Pocket .csv file (shared with One Drive) + that worked fine for me. Absolutely delighted!

Text capture is very good. images are captured infrequently from the source. Many articles have one or two images reproduced, but that's it. Just a blank spot for other images. Even basic Reader apps like PaperSpan do a much better job. Also what appears to be a main feature is the Apps curated selection of articles to read. Why? I know Pocket liked to indoctrinate with their selection of sources and this is the same. The developer should focus on a Resder App. Period.

So sorry about this! There's a bug in the text parsing that we're tracking down now. Would you mind reaching out at support@savewithfolio.com so I can make sure we get this fixed for you? Thanks for the feedback on the curated articles. They'll get better, but our focus really is the reader!

You're legally obliged to provide data takeout like other services at least if you're operating in EU. I've not seen any way I can transfer out my bookmarks. I'll not update my ratings until you add this feature.

What’s new

• Tag it your way – Organize and filter your saves with improved tagging tools.
• Smoother screen changes – Transitions are now snappier.
• Pick up where you left off – Scroll position is remembered more reliably.
• Now in 34 languages – Folio speaks your language (probably).
