About this app

Moss Quill is a note-taking app built for people who want to write fast and find things faster. Everything stays on your device — no accounts, no sync, no cloud. Just open and write.

Notes can be organized into folders you create, and each note supports one or more tags so you can cross-reference ideas across different projects or topics. The full-text search works across titles, body text, folders, and tags, so you can locate any note in a few keystrokes regardless of how many you have.

The editor is distraction-free. Start a new note with a single tap, type what you need, and close it. Changes are saved automatically. There is no formatting toolbar to get in the way, though you can apply light structure using headings and lists if you want.

From Settings you can adjust the sort order — by date, by name, or by priority — switch between compact rows, cards, and a grid layout, and toggle haptic feedback. These preferences are stored locally alongside your notes.

Moss Quill does not ask for a login, does not contact any server, and does not display ads. All data lives inside the app on your device.
