There's a function to add/register bottles that have been purchased to this app. After 2 minutes of trying, I gave up and then was surprised to see a notification about it being successfully added the next day lol. My second bottle hasn't been so lucky. The app really doesn't seem to do much so it's not a big deal to me. Just adding info so others can save their time/effort if they experience something similar - don't waste your time!

Thank you for your feedback. Once you have registered your bottle, you can scan it to record refills. We fund a collection of 5 plastic bottles for each refill recorded on the app. If you're still unable to register the 2nd bottle please reach out to our support team at ahoy@oceanbottle.co so we can help.

The new app does not have a map of refill points, and can only record a refill by scanning the bottle (which is usually dripping wet, so results in a wet phone). Quite a downgrade, for no apparent reason. Edit 2025-02-07: After updating to the newest version, the app reliably crashes upon opening. This will definitely lead to the loss of my streak :/ Edit 2025-03-22: uninstalled completely, one less thing to worry about.

The map feature has been removed in the new app version due to low demand. As for having the bottle present, this update was made in order to prevent app users from using the refill multiplier option to record large amounts of unverified refills in one go. I cannot register my bottle through the app. I have tried uninstalling, restarting my phone and reinstalling but the same issue recurs. This is a key feature of the app and it doesn't work at present.
