The fee covers insurance, storage, authentication, and active management of your portfolio. Fees are prorated across the year and only charged on the invested capital in your account.

When do I sell my wine and whiskey?

Can Vinovest ship wine and whiskey in my portfolio to my home address?

Ratings and reviews

Investing in Vinovest securities (wine or whiskey) locks you into monthly storage fees that can often outpace the value of the security. Then, your options are all bad. Keep paying monthly storage, try and sell the securities on a very stagnant market platform, or have them ship your securities to you for an insane amount of money. I do not recommend this app. Additionally, they've been promising "tastings" from your whiskey securities for 5+ years and still haven't delivered on that.

Overall, the app looks good. However, there is a huge hidden fee for payments processing, which is not mentioned on the web site. When you top up the account you pay 4.92% fee. I assume that the withdrawal fee is similar. So, 9.84% fee altogether. Take it into account when you calculate the expected return on investment.

waste of money, storage fees eat up your money way faster than the wine appreciates. even if it out performs the SP 500 the fees kill your growth. it takes MONTHS to get your money if you decide to sell. on month 6 of waiting for my money meanwhile the storage fees keep piling up. and to top it off 90 percent of wine was -15-20% for the majority of my time using it over the course of 8 years. invest elsewhere.
