About this app

Specifically for use by approved volunteers, fosterers and staff of participating animal welfare organizations, AdoptMeApp is a simple storytelling tool that enables shelters to share the lives of their adoptable pets through social media. (If you are a shelter or rescue volunteer, ask your volunteer coordinator if your organization is an AdoptMeApp participant.)

Those who interact most with adoptable pets love taking pictures of their furry friends. They use AdoptMeApp to bring stories to those pictures, and post them to Twitter and other social media, bringing a whole new level of exposure to these pets looking for their forever homes.

AdoptMeApp is easy for the shelter volunteers and foster families. They don't even need to know anything about social media or have any social media accounts. With AdoptMeApp they just take a picture, type a few words, hit a button, and the app does the rest — including adding the pet's unique hashtag and the URL of its adoption profile.

Ratings and reviews

I work at a large, municipal shelter and we love AdoptMe! Awesome app that lets us share cute pictures and updates to show off the best sides of the animals in our care: outside the shelter and otherwise having fun! Has an easy, simple to understand user interface that allows all our volunteers to feel comfortable with the app and actually put it to use. Customer support was phenomenal and fixed an issue (on our end) within an hour!

Easier to make social media posts in their native apps (which I prefer so I can quickly cross-post to adoption groups in order to expand reach). Edited previous review though because I see this app has a different purpose than I imagined and thus it could be useful for a person using a different approach to promote animals. I also generally appreciate people who handle reviews positively, so props to the development team for being responsive and unafraid to elaborate on their perspective.

I had to redownload this app after I reset my phone and there is no clear way to do a password recovery. It just has a log in and account sign up area. Is there something I'm missing about this?
