With the app "The Reader in AR - The Little Prince" we want to bring the imagination-stimulating reading of books into our modern world and at the same time decouple it from space and time.
The proverbial big brother is not always available when the child would like to have a book read to him, but the parents understandably do not want to let the child be entertained by television or videos.
This is where the augmented reality app “The Reader in AR - The Little Prince” comes into play.
The room is recorded using the video function on a smartphone or tablet (it's best to start by holding the cell phone at chest height, of course, at a slight angle towards the floor so that the perspective fits well) and the reader and interesting 3D objects are immediately 'projected' into the room. and can - just like in real life - be admired and viewed from all sides. You can also simply put the device down and listen to the reader in peace and maybe even fall asleep comfortably...
The current version covers the first few minutes of the book and is intended to show what is possible and whet your appetite for more.
Corresponding links for support are displayed in the app, but can also be viewed directly at tiny.cc/vorleser or der-vorleser.info.
