The comprehensive list of reasons for those who seek this matter and those who speak about the revelation of the Qur’an to arrive at it, so that they will know the truth and dispense with camouflage and lying, and will strive to preserve it after hearing and seeking. Al-Suyuti said in Al-Itqan, after mentioning a group of those who cite interpretation with chains of transmission, such as Ibn Jarir, Ibn Abi Hatim, and others: Then he composed a mixture of interpretations, so they shortened the chains of transmission and quoted sayings in succession. From here entered the intrusive and the correct confusion with the reason, then everyone who had the opportunity to say a statement began to cite it, and whoever had something come to mind relied on it and then transmitted it. This is on the authority of those who come after him thinking that he has a basis without paying attention to the narration of what was reported on the authority of the righteous predecessors
