The workbooks, storybooks, and celebration stickers work in tandem with the App to help children develop a deeper understanding of literacy (and mathematics!) concepts. Built by educational experts and reinforced with feedback from our customers, the Practice Pack program includes 5 Pre-reader, and 15 Learn to Read packs that include workbooks, stickers, storybooks, and in the first Pre-reader pack, flashcards that are sent to the home, monthly. Subscribers can customize how often they receive these shipments through their account dashboard to tailor the pacing to each family’s needs. Created in conjunction with the App, the Practice Packs allow children to engage in different modalities of learning, review the skills they’ve gained in the App, and practice hands-on skills—like writing and tracing—that are best mastered in a non-digital environment. It just sits on the login page w/ no way to log in bc the keyboard doesn't work I've tried 3 different phones & a tablet it doesn't work on any of them. I'd post a pic or video of I could. I Googled support tried uninstalling the app & reinstalling it, I've tried turning off the devices and back on, I checked my wifi, no new system updates on any device, there's not a ton of apps on the devices (1 phone only has 2 apps other the the system apps bc that phone is my kids phone) & still no luck.

Like many others have said, a recent update causes the app to freeze and has made the app unusable. I've seen them reply to these reviews saying to contact their customer support, but I haven't seen anyone changing their negative reviews ro positive ones, so I'm guessing I'll be in the same boat. The app opens up to a "create your own avatar" feature which you can't avoid, and then it crashes. It's frustrating when you've paid for a teaching aid and can't use it for your kids.

I highly recommend Hooked on Phonics. My daughter has learned so much more from this than other reading programs we've tried. She truly loves the experience, too. She asks to do her reading lesson first every day. I also really enjoy that it walks me through how to help her, as well. The lessons are clear and quite entertaining.
