When a soundscape is played in DMDJ, it is not just a recording. A lot is happening under the hood. A soundscape consists of over ten tracks playing simultaneously various environmental noises and sound effects and a continuous randomized engine of sound processing elements. This makes every soundscape you hear unique and new every time you play it.

DMDJ features extensive (and very expensive) content, containing Hi-End Sound FX also used in Hollywood movies and famous games. And to spoil you, we added a vast collection of music tracks from professional composers.

DMDJ at the moment ships with 100 soundscapes, complete with day/night selection and 3 different intensity levels each (low, medium, high), more than 140 randomized sound FX (more than 1000 sounds) for you to use to boost your storytelling, an excellent collection of weather presets (also continuously randomized) that play on top of all soundscapes, adjustable automatically depending on the setting (indoor, outdoor, etc.), and finally, more than 100 music tracks covering all relevant genres, to build tension, emotion, and grandiosity.

DMDJ is equipped with a powerful and advanced dice system that can be completely customized to your needs. Even the most complicated dice throw is one touch away while you can trust our randomly generated results, just like the actual dice, or make your custom weighted die to favor a situation.

Love the app, I love the idea of having more atmospheric sounds in my game but the game crashes in seconds under Oreo. I have emailed their support but its been about a week and response. Also lack of a screen saver make it a really bad choice for anyone with an OLED screen. You have to keep the app open but UI elements never move so I worry about burn in, OLED screens are very easy to burn like that. Update: A few months have now passed with no fixes or anything. This app ended up just being a waste of my money as I can't get it to run on my phone after that update to Oreo. I like what it does but there are other free and/or better supported options out there.

The interface, at least on Android, is not correctly configured. The buttons do not correspond to any particular touch positions, and as such it is extremely difficult if not outright impossible to use. By touching randomly you can access some of the sound libraries, but the mixer, weather, etc. are all inaccessible menus.

Enviroment sounds either cant be paused, or the pause function is too hidden. Music and sound effects are good, but almost all of the nature ambiences are really irritating even on low intensity. Had it for about 10 minutes before refunding, now I have a headache. Also all sound stops when you minimize the app, so you cant use any other dm tools or notes on your phone at the same time.
