SharpWX is an app made easy to use for receiving alerts and messages from any Weather Forecast Office (WFO). This app is made to be simple to use, and can be easily used by most of everyone. With a tap, you're already seeing a live feed of messages from any Weather Forecast Office (WFO), or even one near you!

SharpWX sends post notifications of your favorite rooms, ensuring that you do not miss important alerts and messages. Alongside that, there are also simple filtering options to remove the stuff that you don't want to receive!

Being powered by IEMBot (a service run by Iowa State University), there are more than 100+ Weather Forecast Offices (WFOs) in the U.S. and U.S. territories available to choose from.

What’s new

Some bugs was discovered right after release. Quite unfortunate timing, but they should have been squashed with the release of this update (version 5).

- Fixed an issue where swapping between SharpWX and other apps when a room is open could cause the room to "duplicate", displaying repeated messages and playing sounds repeatedly.
- When asked for the first time if you want to enable notifications, clicking "Yes" would only prompt for permissions, but this has now been corrected.
