Developed as a collaboration project between the CIFP Ángel Casal and the CITIC, InstruM3D is an educational application created to teach the different types of surgical instruments that your students will be able to find in their future jobs in the healthcare field.
The application will help students memorize and learn to recognize surgical instruments through three game modes:
-NAMES: Presented with a series of instruments, students will have to examine them, recognize them and assign them the correct name.
-CATEGORIES: Given a category, students must select the instruments associated with that category.
-PROCEDURES: Given a medical procedure, students must select the instruments necessary to carry out the procedure.
In this application, 135 different instruments have been implemented.
They are digital twins (3D models) of medical instruments with a high level of detail and quality. The modeling and subsequent texturing has been developed by students of the Degree in Digital Creation, Animation and Video Games, from the Faculty of Communication Sciences of the UDC, under the multidisciplinary supervision (technical and health) of professionals from both centers.
