About this game

This app is inspired by the story of Sadako Sasaki and the thousand paper cranes. In Japan, a crane is considered a mystical animal and so became a symbol for good luck and long life. There is an interesting way of getting a wish granted from a crane. It requires patience, dedication and lots of paper. Anyone who folds 1000 paper cranes will be granted a wish. Sadako Sasaki was 2 years old when she was exposed radiation and, over the course of the next 10 years, Sadako developed Leukemia. While hospitalized, Sadako began to fold a thousand paper cranes. The wish of Sadako and her classmates was the desire for peace and the willingness of everyone to work together to achieve it. Sadako's wish, made for her cranes to spread was, "I will write peace on your wings and you will fly all over the world". I believe that in order to work together to achieve peace, you have to be at peace with yourself. As a teacher, I see a lot of students and adults struggling with their mental health. I wanted to create an app with the hope that you can use it to develop a sense of peace and kindness towards yourself. Once you are at peace with yourself, we can then work together to achieve Sadako's wish for peace throughout the world.
