About this app

The app generates random organic chemical structural formulas. As a user, you must enter the correct name. There are 6 levels, from beginner (3rd year of high school in the Netherlands) up to University of Applied Sciences/University. From level 4, cyclic compounds and benzene rings have been added; from level 5, cis/trans and asymmetric carbon atoms; and from level 6, you must also name E/Z and R/S.

Each level has 3 sub-levels (starter -> expert).

The app checks the entered name and provides a common alternative name for each name that can also be entered. Example: methanoic acid <-> formic acid.

Part 2 of the app, where you can also draw structural formulas, is in development.
