There's a brand new development in the Italian dance scene:

The first application for smartphones and tablets (iOS and Android) entirely dedicated to dance events scheduled throughout the country has been launched.
The app will be called "Danzadove" and will be launched, after a trial period, at the end of June 2013.

Available for free download, "Danzadove" will allow users to locate with just one click all dance performances and events scheduled in all Italian regions, coordinated by the editorial staff of the leading magazine for the sector in Italy, Danza&Danza, which is also undergoing a profound editorial overhaul.

What kind of tool will "DanzaDove" be?
An application for smartphones and tablets that will geolocate dance events and identify them by genre, thus making it easier for users to find them. "DanzaDove" is a sort of database, a reference aggregator, uniting the country's dance system under the name of Tersicore; a new tool that surpasses even the various websites, blogs, and social networks in its simplicity and immediacy.
Anniversaries, great figures, and key moments in the history of Italian and international dance, past and present, will be celebrated through images, allowing "dance culture" to penetrate the daily lives of the general public with subtle fascination.

Who and what will "DanzaDove" promote?
The application is aimed at all theaters, organizations, festivals, circuits, national companies, and choreographers operating in our country who wish to publicize their activities, increase their visibility, and attract audiences to their performances. It will be dedicated to dance in all its forms, regardless of genre or style: classical, contemporary, neoclassical, hip hop, jazz, modern jazz, musicals, and aerial dance.
