About this app

This is the BEST app to learn about Resistors and Equivalent Resistance. This virtual lab provides an excellent environment for anyone who is interested in understanding series and parallel resistors, learning how to measure voltages across resistors, current through series and parallel circuits and solving simple circuits.

Features

- VERY SIMPLE and EASY TO USE, with up to eight component sections.

- Component sections can easily be configured from five different types.

- VIRTUAL "Hands On" experience using volt and amp meters.

- Resistor values can easily be changed with a picker, keypad or using randomize button.

- Circuit voltage can be easily be changed from 1 to 1000 volts with a picker
or keypad.

- The "Basics" screen make this app unique for the simplicity and speed of seeing the effects of "Opens" (resistor component with infinite resistance) and "Shorts" (resistor component with zero resistance).

- FREE and NO ADVERTISEMENTS.

- The circuit is always "LIVE" and immediately shows voltage, current and circuit resistance with any changes made to the circuit.

Infancy stage circuit design. If it were any simpler, it would be the resistance of a 9V battery terminals on the tongue. You cannot move resistors and are limited to 4 within a series loop. Granted, resistance circuits are not difficult in a single loop, but try 3 or 4 current loops without simplying the circuit.

Eirik, Thanks for your feedback. It was designed for people just starting to learn about resistors. There is a more advance resistor app that will solve ANY resistor network. It is called "Circuit Resistance Creator" https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.DavidRWhite.CircuitResistanceCreator&hl=en_US

I would like to see the interface to be a little bit more customizable. I'd like to be able to drag and drop. But it should do the job. The app is helpful, and I liked the religious note thing. However, was a little odd haha But I'll paraphrase the founder of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Joseph Smith, "All truth comes from God. No matter where it is found." But, as for placing in an app with an audience of STEM majors, very courageous lol

This is similar to what technicians in training experience in a class room. It allows you to build circuits and use the volt meter and ammeter to measure changes. It's educational and useful to a technician in training.
