About this app

Convert your Google Cardboard or other Virtual Reality headset into a pair of simulated AR Night Vision Goggles with all the features you would expect from a simulated night vision camera app!

Note: Night Vision effect is simulated. This application is not NOT intended to be used for surveillance. May require a hole for the camera to be cut in your VR headset if the camera is blocked. On other headsets you may simply need to remove the front cover so it's not blocking the video feed from your camera.

Includes a 3D AR (Augmented Reality) HUD (Heads-Up Display) featuring live data including GPS and compass. The camera and GPS ore only used to provide graphical feedback to the user and no data about your location or device is collected or used by Defpotec Studios.

Don't have a VR headset? No problem. There is also a non-headset mode.

Features:
• Realistic green screen night vision effect
• VR Headset and No headset modes
• IR enhanced mode
• Capture camera screenshots to your gallery
• "Night Vision Sound" as heard in movies and video games
• Customizable 3D AR (Augmented Reality)HUD
• GPS location
• Compass
• Battery Monitor
• Time/Date clock
• Brightness indicator bar
• Head tilt and roll
• Various reticle graphics to choose from
• Various "binocular" overlay graphics to choose from
• Scanlines
• Static
• IR mode for better Infrared viewing
• Can use rear or front camera
• Unlike most AR or VR Cardboard apps, no Gyroscope is required
• 100% FREE! (ad supported only on menu screen)
• Language options for English, Spanish, and Portuguese

***Note: This application is a simulation only. If you're searching for night vision camera apps that actually work and really let you see in the dark, I'm sorry to say that there isn't such a thing.

Awesome. I play airsoft and this has potential. 3 tips; enable flashlight toggle, enable zoom functions (volume buttons for controls would be a plus), and enable option to auto-hide the big settings button in the middle (and possibly obstructive flashlight toggle button). With these added functions I would easily pay, even if you kept the ads. Ability to take pictures or record would be a cherry on top. Hope to see updates soon!

Good app, To those complainers - you show your very bad lack of seeing what's in plain sight like what's shown in the photos & what's written as you need to get an InfraRed light source (you can make one from old IR remotes you have laying around) & either use old phone or modify one that has a IR filter on the camera. To check if your phone/s has an IR filter point an IR remote control at your phones camera & if it has no filter it should light up bright when you press a button on the remote

Honestly I like much about this app, the one problem is that it does not actually work with my night vision setup because it will not allow me to use a USB camera. If this app will allow you to use a USB camera it would be perfect and I'd give it five stars. It does get two stars because the IR mode does actually help it pick up a little bit more but without removing your IR filter it's just not going to work ................... Edit Reply to Dev, you know what thats fair. I'll even update it and give an extra star (I now see here that 3 stars shows it as Just OK which I think describes it best). You certainly don't claim that it does have that capability. The 2 stars off is less of you did what you say badly and more of it just does not do much. I think what you have done is really neat and if you could add the ability to use an external camera, I'd likely buy it for the compass and other cool features you've got in there.

Thanks for the feedback. We have actually looked into adding this feature, but please keep in mind that nowhere do we mention or imply that this app will work with an external camera.
