About this game

"AnibopiV4" is an application of the MIDI-AM series that includes animated stories and digital games with the use of pictograms developed with specific support approaches mainly for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Anibopi, since its creation as a beta application, seeks to explain, through simple stories and games with boxes like pictograms, topics about living and non-living beings for children with high and medium achievement ASD. The child interacts with the game on the mobile device which can be used independently or with a Social Robot called Loly (in its AnibopiRb version) who seeks to capture their attention to achieve a more constant and entertaining learning.

These games, based on the methodology followed in MIDI-AM Projects of the FADCOM-ESPOL, serve as support material for teachers, pedagogues and parents, to complement the child's learning in a more fun way, seeking to improve development of their social and cognitive skills. The game can be linked to a functional prototype of the Loly robot who interacts with the child and motivates him to play through the integration and reproduction of mechanical movements, audio and gestures in real time connected to the application. We already have preliminary results and several lessons learned.

This application is part of the Interactive Didactic Multimedia for Early Childhood Education (MIDI) projects as part of the development of mobile applications (AM) and Social Robotics of a series of multidisciplinary research projects between FADCOM and CIDIS from ESPOL.
