About this game

The game "ÑAMI ÑAM 1", helps to learn through stories, music and games about good nutrition, identifying healthy and unhealthy foods. The App has been developed with the aim of promoting healthy eating habits in children between 4 and 7 years old.
It presents two stories, a short one on Food Identification and a long one using an entertaining plot also on the contents of healthy and unhealthy foods and eating habits. The short story on food identification is accompanied by a game with three levels of challenge. In the game, the child must help the Ñami bunny to collect all the healthy food that he can during a certain time. The complexity of the game varies in each level in which the player must nimbly select healthy foods and discard those that are not.

This project is the result of the work carried out by a team of researchers, tutors and students from the Nutrition, Web and Multimedia Design Degree, Graphic Design Degree of the Escuela Superior Politécnica del Litoral (ESPOL). The games have been developed and are periodically improved as part of the Didactic Interactive Multimedia Projects for Basic Early Childhood Education (MIDI-AM), whose team is in charge of producing their new versions.

The academic units involved in the execution of this project are the Faculty of Art, Design and Audiovisual Communication - FADCOM and the Community Links Unit - UVS of ESPOL.
