About this app

Alaska Fishtopia is Alaska’s #1 fishing app. With Alaska FishTopia you can quickly get daily fish counts for every major river and salmon species in Alaska, along with digital statewide sport fishing regulations. Alaska FishTopia provides in-season fish counts along with more than 7 years of historical data. It also provides a running 3-year average and shows both in-season and historical annual escapements along with escapement goals.

Statewide fishing regulations have sport fishing regulations for the entire state of Alaska. Keep sportfishing regulations available at the push of a button and right in your pocket!

Tides:
In Alaska we're constantly looking at tides. Whether figuring out when to launch a boat, go clamming, or when the fish will be moving into the rivers, tides are a way of life. With the tides page you will get immediate tidal information for the day.

Currents:
While tides tell us water height and the associated high/low time of day, currents tells us the speed at which the water is moving to those heights.

Marine Weather:
While local weather provides weather over major land areas, marine zone forecasts will provide predictions for wind direction and speed, wave height, and things such as small craft advisories in open water regions.

Live Buoys:
Forecasts are great but also not always 100% accurate. When you want to see what the actual current conditions are, hundreds of buoys are floating in Alaska's water with radios broadcasting current conditions.

Alaska Fishtopia is free for the first 7 days and is an early subscription following the 7 day trial period. Alaska Fishtopia renews automatically on an annual basis unless cancelled.

This app is absolutely awesome. Couldn't be happier. The depth chart features are really cool, I'm really looking forward to trying the public fishing spots for halibut, and the fish count feature is excellent. The other great thing was the marine weather forecast along with tides and currents. This app really is all you need for fishing in Alaska. Everything you could possibly need all in one spot. Nice job!

App developers are slow to update app data. Purchased to avoid needing to call for fish counts, but app was regularly 2-3 days behind on current data (even though ADFG website data was up-to-date). The app could be great, but all the bells and whistles won't matter when the data is lagging. Had better results just going directly to the ADFG website.

Might be useful out in the salt, but not for anything inland. No emergency orders Regulations are just .PDFs, but made more difficult to read. Just download them. No weather for inland. Accumulative fish counts are gibberish in the table view, and 2024 doesn't even show up in accumulative graph view. The only useful bits are the daily counts which, while a few days old, match what is available on the fish and game website. Devs, you should pivot and just make this a marine app.
