About this app

Empower your hearing today!

Hearoes is an interactive auditory training platform for those with Cochlear Implants, Hearing aids, and hearing loss to help familiarise different environmental sounds, and vocabulary and improve auditory feedback and aural training.

We're collaborated with audiologists and speech pathologists at hospitals to help bring engaging interactive auditory training for hearing loss recipients at different stages of their hearing journey, to help them hear new sounds and confidence today.

It combines proven assessments used in rehabilitation sessions and on-going training with gamified activities and interactions to create an aesthetically engaging and user-centric experience for recipients. Hearoes helps this critical stage of on-going training become less of a chore for those with hearing aids, cochlear implants, and hearing loss.

It features dynamic pathways covering 5 key proven modules and 50+ fun activities focused on learning a specific part in the hearing journey of new sounds.

Some of the key modules featured in Hearoes are:

- Environmental Sounds: Combination of daily sounds, such as in the kitchen, rural and farm, and music. Immerse yourself in different environments and hear the sounds around the theme.

Introduction to Words: Learning pitches and syllables around words.

Vowels and Consonants: Helping to be familiar with sounds of vowels and consonants in initial and final position.

Understanding Sentences: Progressive narratives in common day scenes. Ranging from video clips (for lip-reading) to audio with background noise to help learn in a comfortable notion.

We also have a feedback option built-in and would love to hear your thoughts, so we can continue to build a great product to help those with hearing loss feel comfortable in different environments.

I started using this app two weeks after my cochlear implant was activated. The app delivered everything it had to give after a couple of months. I made the mistake of buying a one-year subscription. One free month and one paid month would have been plenty. After that, my experience became repetition for the sake of repetition with no apparent benefit. Customer service is uneven. Some queries receive a rapid response while others are ignored.

I am 4 months out from getting a Cochlear. I was really struggling and was I was getting to the critical point in my therapy that if it didn't start improving, I would probably be stuck at the level I am currently hearing at. I purchased a subscription however, after a month, to have access to activities, I had to purchase a plan. I have and you can only contact via email, no number available, not even able to chat to get this resolved quickly. Not customer service friendly!!

Update App has been slow and not functioning properly. Exercise with balloons has no balloons Should have help feature especially for paid service App has Great practice with various exercises I wish it told me my average for all exercises each rather than just high and low. That would be more useful especially seeing that number change over time.

What’s new

Thanks to everyone's feedback, the app is now further improved for version 1.3.227. What's New:
- Adjusted background noise masking for Stage 3 (+10 dB SNR) and Stage 4 (+5 dB SNR) to improve word recognition and prevent audio overcrowding.
- Further optimisations, internal tweaks & polished some rough edges to improve the app experience overall.
