Hand over your phone without worry. GhostTouch is a friendly touch lock for families: Boo, a little ghost, sits on top of the video and catches every tap, so small fingers can't pause, skip, close the app, call someone or buy something by accident. The cartoon just keeps playing.
How it works
• Start a video, cartoon or game in any app.
• Tap "Put Boo on the screen", then double-tap Boo. The padlock closes and taps stop working.
• Double-tap Boo again to unlock. Taps anywhere else never unlock it.
• Stuck? Hold volume-down for 5 seconds to unlock.
A real toddler lock
• Every tap and swipe on the screen is blocked.
• The Back, Home and Recents buttons are blocked while locked.
• The notification panel closes if your child swipes down.
• If a swipe sends the video to the home screen, Boo brings it right back.
One-tap family moments
• Cartoon time: 30 minutes, then the screen goes off.
• In the car: no timer, Boo sits within reach.
• Bedtime story: screen off, sound on, 15 minutes.
• Call with Grandma: the screen is locked and the call stays up.
Hand over faster
• Quick Settings tile and home-screen widget: one tap puts Boo on the screen.
• Practice mode: try locking and unlocking on a pretend video first.
• Babysitter card: send grandparents or a sitter a picture guide to unlocking Boo.
• Your kids' apps: pin their favourite apps on Home. One tap opens the app with Boo ready.
• Boo stickers: 30 funny stickers for WhatsApp and any chat.
• Milestone cards: when Boo has caught 100, 1,000 or 10,000 taps, share the card.
Screen time that ends gently (Premium)
Pick 5, 15, 30, 45 or 60 minutes. Two minutes before the end, a sleepy Boo appears in the corner with the time left, so the end isn't a surprise. Then the video fades, pauses and the screen turns off, or touch simply works again. Fewer meltdowns, and no show playing all night when you fall asleep.
Your family's week
Add your children (the first is free, more with Premium) and pick who's watching before you hand the phone over. The Family tab shows each child's screen time for the last 7 days, how many taps Boo caught and how many screen times ended calmly. Every Sunday evening, a short note sums up the week, ready to share. It all stays on your phone.
Made for kids and tired parents
• Little sparkles where your child taps, or nothing at all.
• Bedtime colors: a calm dark screen in the evening.
• Screen off, sound on for audiobooks and lullabies (Premium).
• Hide Boo, and more ways to unlock: triple-tap, hold, slide or shake (Premium).
• Volume limit for little ears, and a screen that won't flip while locked (Premium).
• Put Boo in any corner, or middle-left or middle-right, in small, medium or large.
Free forever
5 hand-overs every day. Ran out? Once a week, take a free reset (5 more for the day) or save it for later.
Questions
How do I lock my screen so my toddler can't exit the video?
Put Boo on the screen and double-tap Boo. Touches, the Back and Home buttons and the notification panel stay blocked until you double-tap Boo again.
Does the video keep playing?
Yes. Boo sits on top of the video without pausing it.
Why does GhostTouch need "Display over other apps" and Accessibility?
"Display over other apps" shows Boo and the touch lock on top of your video. The Accessibility service is used while locked to block the Back, Home and Recents buttons, close the notification panel, bring the video back after a swipe, turn the screen off when screen time ends, and stop volume-up at your volume limit. It keeps only the name of the app on screen in memory, so it knows which app to reopen. It does not read your screen, and nothing is collected or shared.
